Who am I?

My name is Marusia and I am Ukrainian athlete who are against representatives of Russia participating in any international competitions, even individual ones and even under the white "Olympic" flag (so-called "Individual Neutral Athletes (AINs)"

Why am I against it?

Because I live in Kharkiv, Ukraine, during every workout, I worry about whether the rollerdrome building will be hit by a russian missile or an aerial bomb, as was the case with a nearby hypermarkets. Twice.

Because of Russian aggression, I have no school, no friends, and no healthy sleep. Sports are all I have left.

Because sports are not separate from politics - international sports are part of international politics. Allowing representatives of Russia to participate in international competitions means legalizing Russian aggression against Ukraine, legalizing the deaths of tens of thousands of Ukrainians, including hundreds of children.

Many of Russia's "neutral" athletes openly support aggression against Ukraine. The rest give their tacit consent.

From white, the Olympic flag turns red with blood. I am for fair sports spirit.

People often ask, “What fault do Russian child athletes have if they can’t compete in international events due to sanctions?” I will ask as well: what fault did the Ukrainian child athletes have, whom Russia has killed and who will never be able to compete anywhere again? As long as Russia remains on Ukrainian land, there is no place for Russian athletes in the competitions of the civilized world!
